The Acers Society

The DMEI Foundation manages the Acers Society Fund—a fund created by alumni of the University of Oklahoma Department of Ophthalmology to honor Dr. Thomas E. Acers, the department’s first full-time chair and founding president of the Dean McGee Eye Institute. The purpose of the Acers Society is to support the continuing education and well-being of residents and fellows within the department. Alumni and friends are encouraged to join!

Investing in the Future of Research and Education

Through the visionary generosity of our donors, the DMEI Foundation is home to several endowments that support deserving clinicians and scientists in the OU Dean McGee Department of Ophthalmology.

These chairs and professorships support faculty as they pursue educational, academic, research, and service activities.

Together, we are advancing the boundaries of ophthalmic research and education!
