KTEF Center for Pediatric Vision Research

A monumental collaboration between OU Health DMEI, DMEIF, the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, and the Children’s Health Foundation of Oklahoma established a permanent, multi-million-dollar endowment to accelerate breakthroughs in children’s eye care.

This sustained funding source ensures that investigators have the long-term backing required to study, treat, and ultimately eliminate debilitating pediatric vision disorders.

The Eaton-Balyeat Resident Research Fund

The Eaton-Balyeat Resident Research Fund provides financial resources to support resident-led research initiatives within the Dean McGee Department of Ophthalmology. The fund effectively lowers the barriers to scientific exploration by covering research-related expenses, including presentation travel stipends.

The committee overseeing the fund reviews all applications on a rolling schedule throughout the academic year, awarding grants on a first-come, first-served basis.
